Co$ Reacts

They like us! They really like us!

Also seems to be experiencing server overload issues, but it comes up for me after a few refreshes. Enjoy.

I especially enjoy how their idea of not interacting involves slander.

In addition, are any of these alleged threats involving nitroglycerin explosives or the gunshots fired at the churches verifiable? I know there was a benign white powder mailed at some point, but I can't recall anything about the other stuff they claim happened.

I never heard anything about the gunshots, which I'm sure we all would have heard about if it had actually happened. It would have been too much of a, "LOOK! LOOK! THE EBIL ANONYMOUS IS SHOOTING AT US!!!11!!11one!1eleven!" opportunity to pass up. Unless somebody has some information I haven't heard, I'm chalking it up as another Co$ black PR attempt, along with the anthrax hoax, the fake vids, and the vandalism.

Yeah, claiming that we actually COMMITTED a crime rather than threatened one when it didn't really happen is basically epic fail. It's provable slander. If they ever manage to successfully mobilize legally against Anonymous as a legal entity, I say we counter-sue for slander.

Being anonymous is our greatest strength as well as our greatest weakness and it seems like they have figured that out. Rather or not those things happened it is much easier blame a anonymous group than on a specific person or organization. I’m sure there are some stupid anons out there doing some regrettable things but I would say the peaceful actions from our protests and information speeding should be how we are truly looked at. If we get a lot of bad press about all of this stuff than we simply need to fall back on how well the protests went.

This is even better

I don't think it's possible for the Co$ to bring legal action on anonymous as a group because the members are... well, anonymous. There would be no defendants unless they found out the identity of some of the members, like possibly the anons who were arrested in Atlanta. As long as we keep our identities secret, I don't believe there's anyway we could be involved in a court case.

Well, technically, they can file suits against a bunch of John/Jane Does, and fill in names as they acquire them, but I doubt they'd be able to find a judge willing to go along with it.
